Sample Data
-----------
Several sample files are provided to evaluate the initial capabilities of JKSimView3. For ease of access, copy the entire data folder from the flash drive to a suitable location on your computer. The blasts and analyses can be opened from the >Home menu.

The latest version of Adobe Reader is required to view 3d pdf reports.

Groups
------
Blast and analysis files can be linked in a single file and opened as a group in JKSimView3. The sample data includes two *.s3grp group files for the iron mine and drawbell blasts.

To open a group file, select the >Open option from the >Home menu, then select >Group.

Attachments
-----------
A blast in JKSimBlast v3 can include links to external files. These links are called "attachments", and can be added to an item in the blast, such as a blast hole, or to the overall blast. One of the sample files, "iron mine [6].s3tb", includes three attachments.

If any attachments are included, they appear as a sub-branch under the parent item, and also in a separate branch below the blast data. The attachment can be opened in the associated application by double-clicking the item in the tree.

Note: the attachments in "iron mine [6]" have relative references in the blast data, but these will cause a program crash when trying to open the attachments from SV3 (we are aware of this, and it will be fixed in a future version). To correct this, edit the attachments after opening the blast and link to the file in the new location.

 - find each attachment in the Navigation tree - the files are attached to these nodes:
   +Area +Shapes +Zones "Y-142-040"
   +Holes +All 1
   +Holes +All 26

 - right-click the parent object (not the Attachments node) and select >Attachments

 - in the dialog, double-click under Path and select the file - this will update the file reference

 - click the [Close] button

Now open any of the +Attachments branches in the tree and double-click the item to open.

To keep the changes, save the blast. Other files can be attached by the same process, wherever >Attachment appears as an option in a pop-up menu in the tree.

Alternatively, the path for the attachment can be edited directly in the blast file in any text editor. The attachments table is near the end of the file. Note that items in each line are separated by tabs.
